Hans on the Bike is living in the Ottawa-Gatineau National Capital Region in Canada since 1998. This blog covers travels, cycling, skiing, hiking. He throws in the odd recipe, mostly so that he can find it back.

Hans on the Bike is not a very competitive cyclist; most of the time he is cycling around town doing errands or guiding tourists around. He is not an ‘avid’ cyclist, just like he is not an ‘avid’ driver or ‘avid’ pedestrian. He uses the mode of transportation that suits him.

As a bicycle tour guide, he hears tons of great feed back from people from all over the world. Even from the Dutch! This is encouraging.

Ms. Hans on the Bike cycles too and they often go together for cycling trips in the region. Day trips only though as Beaufort the cat needs to be fed.
